Robert Cooper

Aka – Bob Cooper – Clarinet

I played clarinet in the Excelsior Springs, Mo. High School band from 1948 through 1952. In 1954 I played in the El Toro Marine Band. After leaving the service I was a member of the Lee’s Summit, Mo. City Band in the 60’s. From there I was part of a northern Missouri Polka band. We didn’t have a name. We played small-town events and care centers. The clarinet stayed in the closet for years until I joined the Sun City Concert Band in around 2001.

I have had many wonderful times in my music, and I am thrilled to be a member of my band and will continue as long as I am able.
