I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in music theory in 1969. After five years in the US Army Band in Europe, where I served as a pianist and arranger (1975-1980), I took an MBA in Finance from ASU in 1983. In 1992, I received a PhD in Marketing from ASU, subsequently teaching at four graduate business schools – ASU (1985-1991), University of Texas at El Paso (1992-1999), Loyola University New Orleans (1999-2004), and State University of New York (2004-2012). During this time, I played numerous part-time piano jobs. I retired in 2012, moving to Sun City, and have been a member of the Sun City Piano Club since 2013. I joined the Sun City Concert Band, serving in the percussion section in 2019.
